How to Tell If Your Spouse is Cheating on You

in Cheating

It's an unfortunate reality, but extramarital infidelity is all-too-common nowadays. Husbands are cheating on their wives, wives are sneaking around on their husbands -- extramarital activity is rampant. Because of this, many people -- including you -- have a sneaking suspicion that their spouse is cheating on them. Fortunately, however, there are ways to tell if your spouse is cheating on you, and here are a few of the most common signs.

Changes in behavior
One of the most noticeable signs that your spouse may be cheating on you is when their behavior changes significantly. People will react differently, though -- some may alter their personal look or style, some may head to the gym more often or become obsessed with their physical appearance, some will become distant, indifferent, and cold toward you whereas others will actually become 'closer' to you. It really depends on your spouse, but if you notice a drastic change in their behavior, this is one of the signs of a cheating spouse. Changes in behavior may also spill over into irregular work patterns out of the blue, a sudden interest in running errands or getting out of the house, and so forth.

Missing money
If your spouse is cheating on you, and they are physically seeing somebody else, there is a good chance that there will be money missing from your account, or your spouse's account, on a semi-regular basis. However, you probably shouldn't start trying to analyze and account for every penny that is spent, unless you already operate this way -- it could tip your spouse off if they are cheating on you, or it could cause unneeded stress in your relationship if they aren't.

Sudden interest in keeping computer history and emails private
Cheating spouses frequently use the Internet in their extramarital activity -- from online chatting to using dating websites to sending and receiving emails of a nature not fitting for a married man or woman. If your spouse has started deleting their emails, cleaning their browsing history unexpectedly, or is exhibiting suspicious behavior while they are on the computer, this is a definite sign that they are hiding something from you, and it could be because your spouse is cheating on you.

While extramarital activity is an unfortunate reality these days, there are traits, patterns, and behaviors that cheating spouses exhibit. If your spouse is suddenly behaving strangely, and their behaviors and activities fit the patterns of a cheating spouse, it's time to follow your gut, and get solid proof that your spouse is, in fact, cheating on you.
